Client unit coordinator
The client unit coordinator organizes freight transport for a specific client, respecting the client's requirements (quality and deadlines) whilst ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with regulations. They are both an operator and a charterer. They use the company's own vehicles and can sub-contract where necessary. They are also responsible for monitoring the quality of the service and communication between the operations department and drivers, and for providing the client with regular updates.
Operations agents organize freight transport using the company's own resources. They must respect the client's requirements in terms of quality and deadlines, whilst ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with regulations. They receive and enter orders, schedule transport and manage the vehicle maintenance calendar. They send job orders to drivers and carry out checks (respect of timings and routes). They are also responsible for monitoring the quality of the service and communication between the operations department and drivers.
Chartering agents research and manage external service providers for organizing freight transport. They act as an intermediary between clients and chartered transporters. They are responsible for receiving and entering orders, and for the sale of transport with a vehicle adapted to the client's needs. They also monitor the quality of the service.
Customer relations manager
The customer relations manager receives and oversees orders to organize freight transport. They are responsible for monitoring and identifying potential contracts, as well as client needs in order to find appropriate solutions. They are in direct contact with clients, and are responsible for meeting with and advising clients on the feasibility of orders. They distribute client orders to operators, and provide reports to clients and the operational management of operators.
